C\u2019est avec splendeur et par une Divine Liturgie inter-orthodoxe qu\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e, le 9 mars 2025, la restauration des saintes ic\u00f4nes, le dimanche de l\u2019Orthodoxie, en la Cath\u00e9drale des Saints Archanges Michel et Gabriel de Bruxelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La conc\u00e9l\u00e9bration \u00e9piscopale \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par Son \u00c9minence le M\u00e9tropolite Ath\u00e9nagoras de Belgique et Exarque des Pays-Bas et du Luxembourg, entour\u00e9 de plusieurs hi\u00e9rarques repr\u00e9sentant les \u00c9glises orthodoxes en Europe de l\u2019Ouest : Son Excellence l\u2019\u00c9v\u00eaque Justin du Patriarcat de Serbie, Son \u00c9minence le M\u00e9tropolite Antoine du Patriarcat de Bulgarie, Son Excellence l\u2019\u00c9v\u00eaque Dosith\u00e9e du Patriarcat de G\u00e9orgie, ainsi que le Repr\u00e9sentant de l\u2019\u00c9glise de Gr\u00e8ce aupr\u00e8s de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne, Son Excellence l\u2019\u00c9v\u00eaque Apostolos de Tanagra. De nombreux membres du clerg\u00e9 issus des diff\u00e9rentes communaut\u00e9s orthodoxes de Belgique et de l\u2019Archev\u00each\u00e9 de Belgique \u00e9taient \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les hymnes liturgiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 chant\u00e9s par cinq ch\u0153urs : le ch\u0153ur byzantin en grec, le ch\u0153ur inter-paroissial de Flandre en flamand, ainsi que des ch\u0153urs en roumain, en polonais et en arabe. \u00c0 travers leur diversit\u00e9 de styles et dans une parfaite harmonie, ils ont offert un t\u00e9moignage vibrant de la richesse multiculturelle de l\u2019\u00c9glise orthodoxe et de sa tradition. L\u2019hom\u00e9lie solennelle du jour a \u00e9t\u00e9 prononc\u00e9e par le hi\u00e9romoine Athanase Bukin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parmi la nombreuse assembl\u00e9e de fid\u00e8les \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents les ambassadeurs de Gr\u00e8ce, de Roumanie, de Mac\u00e9doine du Nord, ainsi que celui de la Repr\u00e9sentation permanente de la Gr\u00e8ce aupr\u00e8s de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d\u2019autres diplomates. \u00c9taient \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sents les repr\u00e9sentants militaires de la Gr\u00e8ce et de la Bulgarie aupr\u00e8s de l\u2019OTAN, des Archontes du Patriarcat \u0153cum\u00e9nique, ainsi que des repr\u00e9sentants des diverses institutions et organisations de la diaspora grecque \u00e0 Bruxelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 la fin de la Divine Liturgie, une procession a eu lieu \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la cath\u00e9drale, au cours de laquelle l\u2019archev\u00eaque pr\u00e9sident a proclam\u00e9 le Synodikon de l\u2019Orthodoxie et a r\u00e9cit\u00e9 une pri\u00e8re sp\u00e9ciale pour l\u2019unit\u00e9 des orthodoxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir exprim\u00e9 ses remerciements aux hi\u00e9rarques et aux clercs participants, au pr\u00e9dicateur du jour, aux chorales, aux diplomates, ainsi qu\u2019au recteur de la cath\u00e9drale et \u00e0 ses collaborateurs pour l\u2019organisation de cette c\u00e9l\u00e9bration, le M\u00e9tropolite Ath\u00e9nagoras a soulign\u00e9 l\u2019importance de l\u2019unit\u00e9 visible de l\u2019\u00c9glise. Il a rappel\u00e9 que cette unit\u00e9 ne se manifeste pas seulement \u00e0 travers des paroles et des \u00e9changes de courtoisie, mais surtout par la conc\u00e9l\u00e9bration et la participation au m\u00eame Calice, une unit\u00e9 dont le monde troubl\u00e9 dans lequel nous vivons, marqu\u00e9 par les conflits et l\u2019incertitude, a plus que jamais besoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Nous restons fermes et pers\u00e9v\u00e9rons dans l\u2019unit\u00e9 ! C\u2019est ainsi seulement que nous proclamerons la paix dont le monde a besoin, une paix qui, pour nous, croyants, n\u2019est pas une id\u00e9e abstraite, mais la personne m\u00eame de notre Seigneur J\u00e9sus-Christ. Le Christ est le seul Souverain vers lequel nous nous tournons. L\u2019\u00c9glise orthodoxe n\u2019est soumise \u00e0 aucun pouvoir ou autorit\u00e9 terrestre, mais chemine vers sa destin\u00e9e \u00e9ternelle\u2026 \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9, entre autres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La c\u00e9l\u00e9bration s\u2019est poursuivie par une r\u00e9ception \u00e0 la salle paroissiale de la cath\u00e9drale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
