La d\u00e9l\u00e9gation \u00e9tait conduite par&nbsp;<strong>Son \u00c9minence le M\u00e9tropolite Ath\u00e9nagoras de Belgique<\/strong>, repr\u00e9sentant du Patriarcat \u0153cum\u00e9nique et Pr\u00e9sident de CROCEU, ainsi que par&nbsp;<strong>Son Excellence Mgr Mariano Crociata<\/strong>, \u00e9v\u00eaque de Latina et Pr\u00e9sident de la COMECE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette visite s\u2019inscrivait dans le cadre de&nbsp;<strong>l\u2019article 17 du Trait\u00e9 sur le fonctionnement de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne (TFUE)<\/strong>, qui pr\u00e9voit un dialogue ouvert, r\u00e9gulier et transparent entre les institutions de l\u2019UE et les \u00c9glises. Dans cet esprit, la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation s\u2019est rendue \u00e0 Chypre afin d\u2019engager un dialogue constructif avec les autorit\u00e9s civiles et eccl\u00e9siastiques du pays et de partager des r\u00e9flexions susceptibles de contribuer \u00e0 la d\u00e9finition des priorit\u00e9s de la future Pr\u00e9sidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours de la journ\u00e9e, la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation s\u2019est entretenue avec&nbsp;<strong>Sa B\u00e9atitude l\u2019Archev\u00eaque Georges de Chypre<\/strong>, primat de l\u2019\u00c9glise orthodoxe autoc\u00e9phale de Chypre;&nbsp;<strong>Son Excellence le Pr\u00e9sident Nikos Christodoulides<\/strong>, pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique de Chypre;&nbsp;<strong>Mme Marilena Raouna<\/strong>, vice-ministre des Affaires europ\u00e9ennes;&nbsp;<strong>M. Marios Panayides<\/strong>, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral au minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00c9ducation, du Sport et de la Jeunesse, ainsi qu\u2019avec plusieurs hauts responsables du m\u00eame minist\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Lors de ces rencontres, CROCEU et COMECE ont r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 l\u2019engagement constant des \u00c9glises \u00e0 contribuer au projet europ\u00e9en par le dialogue et le service du bien commun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La d\u00e9l\u00e9gation a remis \u00e0 chaque autorit\u00e9 un document pr\u00e9sentant les principales pr\u00e9occupations et propositions des \u00c9glises orthodoxes et catholique concernant plusieurs priorit\u00e9s susceptibles de guider la Pr\u00e9sidence chypriote, notamment la migration, la paix et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, les relations avec les r\u00e9gions voisines, la r\u00e9silience hydrique et l\u2019\u00e9largissement de l\u2019UE. Ancr\u00e9 dans la doctrine sociale chr\u00e9tienne et l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des \u00c9glises dans la promotion de la dignit\u00e9 humaine, ce texte mettait en lumi\u00e8re les dimensions \u00e9thiques qui accompagnent les d\u00e9fis europ\u00e9ens actuels et exprimait l\u2019espoir que ces valeurs puissent inspirer les travaux de la Pr\u00e9sidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CROCEU et COMECE ont salu\u00e9 la prise de fonction de la pr\u00e9sidence tournante par Chypre comme un moment d\u2019importance particuli\u00e8re, compte tenu de son riche h\u00e9ritage chr\u00e9tien et de sa position g\u00e9ographique au carrefour de l\u2019Europe, du Moyen-Orient et de l\u2019Afrique du Nord. Elles ont exprim\u00e9 leur appr\u00e9ciation pour la qualit\u00e9 des \u00e9changes ouverts et constructifs avec les autorit\u00e9s chypriotes et ont manifest\u00e9 leur disponibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 soutenir la Pr\u00e9sidence, notamment en contribuant \u00e0 des initiatives th\u00e9matiques et en collaborant avec des partenaires chypriotes et bruxellois pour l\u2019organisation d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements au cours de ce semestre europ\u00e9en.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En conclusion, la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 la volont\u00e9 des \u00c9glises de poursuivre le dialogue structur\u00e9 pr\u00e9vu par l\u2019article 17 du TFUE, convaincue que cette coop\u00e9ration peut renforcer l\u2019engagement de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne en faveur de la dignit\u00e9 humaine, de la promotion de la paix, de la protection de la libert\u00e9 religieuse, de la responsabilit\u00e9 \u00e9cologique et de la solidarit\u00e9 entre les peuples. Elle a exprim\u00e9 sa confiance dans la capacit\u00e9 de la Pr\u00e9sidence chypriote \u00e0 contribuer \u00e0 ces objectifs et a assur\u00e9 ses pri\u00e8res et son soutien pour sa
