Bisschoppenconferentie van de Benelux (OBB-CEOB) kwam op woensdag 21 december 2016 voor de twaalfde maal op de zetel van het Orthodox Aartsbisdom, met adres Charbolaan 71 te Brussel, bijeen, voorgezeten door Zijne Eminentie Metropoliet Athenagoras van Belgi\u00eb (Oecumenisch Patriarchaat), met deelname van Aartsbisschop Simon (Patriarchaat van Moskou), Metropoliet Iosif (Patriarchaat van Roemeni\u00eb), Bisschop Dositeoz (Patriarchaat van Georgi\u00eb), en Micha\u00efl (Russisch-orthodoxe Kerk in het Buitenland \u2013 Patriarchaat van Moskou).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span lang=\"el\" xml:lang=\"el\">De bisschoppen wisselden van mening en gedachten over kerkelijke actualiteiten zoals de bijeenkomst en beslissingen van het Heilig en Groot Concilie, het goede verloop van de Kerst- en Theofanievieringen, het bezoek van Zijne Zaligheid Metropoliet Sawa van Warschau en Geheel Polen aan Brussel, evenals dat van een afvaardiging van het Patriarchaat van Georgi\u00eb aan de zetel van het Aartsbisdom van Belgi\u00eb.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span lang=\"el\" xml:lang=\"el\">De bisschoppen hebben de pastorale zorgen besproken rond de orthodoxe jeugd in de Benelux, en hoe die beter integreren in het kerkelijk leven; het orthodox godsdienstonderwijs in de Belgische scholen en de recente ontwikkelingen ter zake; de aanwezigheid van de prechalcedonische Kerken; leven en activiteiten van de Orthodoxe Kerk in Nederland; en de concelebraties van de bisschoppen-leden van de Conferentie bij verschillende gelegenheden.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span lang=\"el\" xml:lang=\"el\">De bisschoppen bogen zich ook over onderwerpen van interne orde van de OBB-CEOB.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span lang=\"el\" xml:lang=\"el\">Deze XIIe bijeenkomst van de OBB-CEOB werd afgesloten met een uitwisseling van wetenswaardigheden per diocees, en wensen voor de komende grote feesten.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span lang=\"el\" xml:lang=\"el\">De Orthodoxe Bisschoppenconferentie van de Benelux werd opgericht bij besluit van de IVe Panorthodoxe
