\u00a0Op voorstel van Zijne Eminentie Metropoliet Athenagoras van Belgi\u00eb had op donderdag 2 maart 2016 de tweede bijeenkomst plaats van de Hoofden van alle Erediensten, op het Kantoor van de Orthodoxe Kerk, Charbolaan 71 te 1030 Brussel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Het onderwerp van de bijeenkomst was de toekomst van het godsdienstonderwijs, naar aanleiding van de bekendmaking van het vervangen [in het Franstalig onderwijs] van \u00e9\u00e9n uur van dat vak door een nieuw vak “burgerschap” (Vlaamse variant: “Levensbeschouwing, Ethiek, burgerschap en Filosofie”<\/em>). Het was een gelegenheid om informatie uit te wisselen over de recentste ontwikkelingen rond dit onderwerp, en de dringende nood aan een gemeenschappelijke reactie. De bijeenkomst werd voorgezeten door de rooms-katholieke bisschop van Doornik, mgr. Harpigny, met volgende deelnemers: dhr. Markiewicz, voorzitter van het Centraal Isra\u00eblitisch Consistorie van Belgi\u00eb, dr. Geert Lorein, voorzitter van de Federale Synode van Protestantse en Evangelische kerken in Belgi\u00eb, dr. Steven Fuite, voorzitter van de Verenigde Protestantse Kerk in Belgi\u00eb, cannon (kannunik) dr. Jack McDonald, voorzitter van het Centraal Comit\u00e9 van de Anglicaanse Eredienst in Belgi\u00eb, Zijne Eminentie Metropoliet Athenagoras van Belgi\u00eb, vertegenwoordiger van alle Orthodoxe Kerken in Belgi\u00eb, dhr. Claude Gillard, afgevaardigde van de Aartsbisschop van Mechelen-Brussel voor het Franstalig onderwijs, de Zeer Eerwaarde Heer Tommy Scholtes, woordvoerder van de Belgische rooms-katholieke Bisschoppenconferentie, rabbijn Armand Benizri, Inspecteur van het Isra\u00eblitisch Godsdienstonderwijs, dhr. Strat\u00eddis en dhr. Redouan El Abbouti Redouan, voor deze gelegenheid uitgenodigde leden van het\u00a0“Collectif des Enseignants de Religions dans l\u2019Enseignement Officiel” (CEREO – Collectief van Godsdienstonderwijzers in het Openbaar Onderwijs)<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Na de vruchtbare bespreking, die geruime tijd duurde, werd besloten:
\n<\/span><\/span>– om in de toekomst concreet te zorgen voor een betere, en verenigde, publieke aanwezigheid van de verantwoordelijke leiders van de godsdiensten om de grote stille meerderheid van de burgers in Belgi\u00eb in te lichten over de wijzigingen die in het onderwijs worden doorgevoerd,
\n– om, in deze moeilijke tijden, het fundamentele belang van godsdienstonderwijs in het onderwijs te benadrukken om fundamentalisme en terrorisme tegen te gaan,
\n– overal de verontwaardiging bekend te maken over de discriminatie van de Vertegenwoordigers van de Erediensten in Belgi\u00eb, omdat ze buiten de commissies worden gesloten die het leerplan voorbereiden van de lessen burgerschap.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

De bijeenkomst werd besloten met een voorstelling van het Collectief van Godsdienstonderwijzers in het Openbaar Onderwijs (CEREO), een ploeg gemotiveerde leerkrachten die vastberaden is om niet lijdzaam te blijven bij die ontwikkelingen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tot slot werd verwezen naar het menselijk drama van duizenden mensen dat zich afspeelt aan de rand van de Europese Unie, en benadrukt dat onze onbewogenheid lijkt te doen vergeten dat we te maken hebben met mensen, en niet met handelswaar.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
