{"id":19126,"date":"2019-06-30T14:30:18","date_gmt":"2019-06-30T12:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxia.be\/?p=19126"},"modified":"2019-07-02T16:53:57","modified_gmt":"2019-07-02T14:53:57","slug":"de-nationale-feestdag-van-luxemburg-in-de-kathedraal-van-de-heilige-nicolaas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orthodoxia.be\/nl\/2019\/06\/30\/de-nationale-feestdag-van-luxemburg-in-de-kathedraal-van-de-heilige-nicolaas\/","title":{"rendered":"De nationale feestdag van Luxemburg in de kathedraal van de Heilige Nicolaas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Met luister vierde het aartsbisdom van Belgi\u00eb op zondag 30 juni 2019 de nationale feestdag van Luxemburg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Zijne Eminentie Metropoliet Athenagoras van Belgi\u00eb en Exarch van Nederland en Luxemburg vierde de Goddelijke Liturgie in de kathedraal van de Heilige Nicolaas in Luxemburg, omringd door priesters en diakens van het Aartsbisdom, alsmede door priesters van de Servisch-Orthodoxe Kerk, Roemeni\u00eb en Bulgarije die, onder toezicht van de Metropoliet van het Oecumenisch Patriarchaat en tevens orthodoxe vertegenwoordiger voor het land, ten dienste staan van de orthodoxe gelovigen van het Groothertogdom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>In zijn homilie verwees Metropoliet Athenagoras naar de genade van de apostolische roeping die eenvoudige vissers transformeerde in leermeesters van het universum en herauten van het evangelie, daarbij wonderen verrichtend voor de mensen voor Gods Glorie en Zijn Heilige kerk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Het einde van de Goddelijke Liturgie werd gevolgd door het Te Deum voor het feest van Zijne Hoogheid Groothertog Henri, tevens de nationale feestdag van het hertogdom. Onder de aanwezigen bevonden zich Kamervoorzitter Hubert Clasen, als vertegenwoordiger van Zijne Koninklijke Hoogheid Groothertog Henri, eerwaarde vader Georges Hellinghausen als vertegenwoordiger van de katholieke aartsbisschop, Vincent Reding, burgemeester van Weiler-la-Tour, de heer Louis-Alcibiade Abatis, ambassadeur van Griekenland voor het Groothertogdom, de vertegenwoordigers van de ambassadeurs van de Verenigde Staten van Amerika en Roemeni\u00eb, alsmede de voorzitter van de Griekse Gemeenschap, mevrouw Sia Kavadias.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Tot slot dankte Zijne Eminentie de aanwezige ambtenaren, en de menigte gelovigen die, ondanks de nabijheid van het begin van de zomer en de zomervakantie, gekomen waren om de Luxemburgse nationale feestdag in de Orthodoxe Kerk te vieren, wat mogelijk is dankzij Groothertog Henri en het Groothertogdom door de steun en de erkenning van de orthodoxe aanwezigheid in deze kleine, maar toch zo belangrijke staat in het centrum van Europa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Nadien volgde een receptie in de parochiezaal van de kerk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[FAGP id=19121]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Met luister vierde het aartsbisdom van Belgi\u00eb op zondag 30 juni 2019 de nationale feestdag van Luxemburg.
