BIOGRAFIE VAN DE NIEUWE BISSCHOP<\/strong><\/h2>\nZijne Excellentie Bisschop-elect van Apollonia, Ioakim Archontos, is geboren in 1964 op het eiland Psara (Griekenland). Na de middelbare school heeft hij verpleegkunde gestudeerd in Patras en geneeskunde aan de Universiteit van Thessaloniki. Theologie studeerde hij aan de Universiteit van Athene. Nadien behaalde hij een master in geschiedenis aan de Universiteit van Korfoe.<\/p>\n
Op 11 november 1990 werd hij op de Athosberg tot monnik gewijd. Op 23 augustus 1991 werd hij door de toenmalige Metropoliet van Chios, Mgr Dionysios, tot diaken gewijd, en op 11 november van het zelfde jaar werd hij door dezelfde hi\u00ebrarch tot priester gewijd. Drie jaar later werd hij verheven tot de waardigheid van archimandriet. Hij diende als priester in de Aartsbisdommen van Chios, Kifisias en Belgi\u00eb. In de schoot van het Aartsbisdom van Belgi\u00eb was hij in 1997 de rector van de Kathedraal van de Heilige Aartsengelen en is hij sinds 2018 prediker.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
